The Facilities Management & Planning (FMP) department is responsible for maintaining all aspects of campus buildings and physical infrastructure, including construction management, building alterations, repairs and renovations, grounds, custodial operations, and energy and utility management. In addition, the department manages the University Motor Pool Fleet, event and room scheduling, and Central Store Functions.
Grounds Services provides landscape installations,tree care, maintenance and watering, pavement and hard surface maintenance, underground irrigation system installation and maintenance, exterior litter control, athletic field maintenance, grounds equipment maintenance, snow and ice removal, campus furniture and equipment moving, and campus special events setups.
Building Services provides routine, schedule and non-scheduled preventive maintenance of building components, building components fabrication and repair, painting, lock and key control, campus building HVAC, carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, campus and building signage and small scale building alternations and minor construction.
Plant Operations provides heating and air-conditioner maintenance and operation, preventive maintenance of campus boilers, chillers, distribution systems, cooling tower maintenance, and related equipment.
Custodial Operations provides building access, housekeeping, light bulb replacements, building trash collection, building recyclable collection, interior building furniture moving and special events setups, building pest control, and service contract compliance.

Facilities Service Desk receives work requests from the campus and distributes them to Facilities Management and Planning staff.
Business Operations processes accounts receivable and accounts payable as well as maintains payroll and time records.
Central Stores provides shipping and receiving for the campus, maintenance and delivery of business supplies and paper goods inventory, mail delivery, purchasing and maintenance of building and custodial materials inventory. Contact: (308) 865-8581
Asset Disposal/Surplus Inventory is managed by the Asset Disposal Manager. Facilities Management & Planning is responsible for the custody and safekeeping of all University surplus property.
Events & Reservations for non-academic purposes are scheduled through the Facilities Management & Planning department.
